Hello again,
We have a number of MMC controllers available for our PTZ camera prototype. Currently we are controlling the PT motors open loop, however, the PT unit has analog position feedback that we would like to monitor.
Is it possible (Ideally without re-braining the PIC) to access the ADC input levels on an MMC module via the serial port?
Are there any ways we could cheat? (For instance set the module to analog mode and ask it what there motor PWM is?)
Regards,
Matt

No you cannot do this. The MMC determines its operating mode on power up, it never looks again at what mode it is supposed to be in. So if you are in serial mode the A/D inputs are not even looked at.

Lon,
Thought that was going to be the case. (The flashing lights give it away)
Was hoping there might be an undocumented feature somewhere in the serial protocol.
(ie. the registers could be accessed in the same way the PWM values can)
Would be a good feature request.
All in all I'm very happy with your product, so far it has save us a lot of time and effort.
Thanks again,
Matt
